It happens every Sunday at 10AM. Through singing, prayer, Bible reading, silence, music, preaching, and communion we give thanks for the love God has shown us through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Worship at First Christian is an intimate experience. We gather to sing songs, pray for each other and the world, hear the word of God preached and partake in God's Holy Meal. The dress is casual (but you can wear a suit and tie if you want).
The key element of worship for Disciples is the Lord's Supper or Communion. On most Sundays, we pray for the bread and wine (grape juice) and the deacons will pass trays with the element of communion for you to partake. Sometimes during the church year, we will use intinction, where you come forward and take the bread and dip into the chalice.
Everyone is welcome at Communion Table because it's not ours, but belongs to Jesus Christ.
Come and be fed from the Bread of Life.
